Welcome to Bleak Cinema. On these pages you will find movie reviews and my thoughts on various movies. As the name implies, you will not find a lot of mainstream Hollywood movies here. More often than not, A list movies don't hold my interest the way that a low budget or off beat film can. As the cost of making a major movie goes up, the more rigidly the formulas are adhered to. This is not to imply that B movies don't have rules of their own that they follow, but they do tend to play faster and looser with them.
